This position is in Baker Donelson’s Client Solutions Group. - The Technical Specialist designs, implements, and maintains secure, high-performing SharePoint Online and M365-based intranet and client collaboration solutions, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, integrate firm systems, and ensure ongoing quality, compliance, and user adoption. Leveraging strong analytical and vendor-management skills, the role delivers frontline technical support, reporting, and training while continuously enhancing functionality and governance to optimize the firm’s legal practice technology ecosystem. The Technical Specialist reports to the Director of Legal Technology Solutions and will interact with internal and external clients.
- Key Responsibilities. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design and Develop Collaborative Solutions. Lead the creation and enhancement of intranet and client collaboration sites using SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power Apps, and M365 tools, ensuring solutions meet evolving business needs.
- Maintain and Support Site Functionality. Oversee regular site maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with development teams to implement new features and updates, ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Ensure Security and Compliance. Manage security settings and governance for all collaboration platforms, perform regular security checks, and uphold firm policies to protect sensitive information.
- Drive Integration and Vendor Collaboration. Partner with internal departments and external vendors to integrate systems and databases, support legal technology applications, and coordinate software upgrades and customizations.
- Promote User Engagement and Quality. Deliver training, provide front-line support, run usage reports, and monitor quality control to maximize site effectiveness and user satisfaction.

Experience and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a relevant field
- Two to three years of prior business or law-firm experience

For positions in Baltimore, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and New Jersey, the salary range for this posting is: $60,000 - $70,000.
The range for this position will be based on information collected during the interview process. The amount will depend on several considerations such as your experience, skills, our current business needs, and market conditions. Salary is only one part of the overall compensation package. Candidates may also be eligible for other comprehensive medical and financial benefits and resources, including 401(k) participation and paid time off.
